THE STORY
The love story of Alegra and Jabra Francis, Ein Kerem’s most famous royal and controversial couple, is the inspiration for this hotel’s design. Their daring romance of the 1920s began when a Jewish young woman named Alegra fell in love with an Arab-Christian man named Jabra Francis. They chose to defy their families and run away together to marry in secret. Their family house, which locals refer to as the “House of the Jewish Girl”, was converted into Alegra Boutique Hotel. Even a century after the famous love affair, Alegra Boutique Hotel continues to be a symbol of romance and unconventional bravery.
The spectacular design of “Lavan Architects” gives the hotel an exclusive atmosphere and each room was created with a unique touch. Influenced by oriental motifs and designed with delicate precision, every corner of the hotel will give you a small glimpse of the beauty of Jerusalem and Ein Kerem.
